579 Post poem partum depression April 6, 2016

After 40 years of
ovulation, insemination, gestation, labor,
finally, at the click of a key,
birth.
579 poems and counting,
push from their spiral note book womb
onto A BLOG!
Available to anyone!
To be critiqued, dismissed,ignored,
missed completely!!??
My baby, put there, out there,
alone?
By me!

No!

I creep onto Facebook,
unfamiliar ground to me,
never-the-less, I sneak
to reread my words,
stress, angst, cry
over them.
Who is reading them?
Who is not reading them?
Would it not have been better to keep them hidden?
(I imagine some readers will think so)
Or control accessibility?
Read them silently?
Or to my wife, she, loving them, because they are me?
Or to my best buddies because they’re biased?

No!

To be, they must be free.
Whatever their destiny,
it must be found
in the cloud.

So,

I sign out,
sleep the Apple.
I’m done.

Bewaring lions, tigers and bears
and skunks,
Kens Poems
Safari on.
