687 thank YOU 6-18-17 (pick a key word. press search. enjoy)

thank YOU

for gentle mornings,
waking
to my wife’s warm arm
lying across my chest,
to the soft ripples-on-the-shore
sound of her breathing,
to the pleasure
of the pressure
of her breasts,
in and out and in, out,
on my side
in rhythm with the waves.

For not needing
or wanting to open my eyes,
but to enjoy the rising
within me
and to know,
(before it happens),
her arm will slide
slowly
down
until
she finds that growing starting line
and she will smile
and say,
“Well! And a good morning to you!”
