696 Words writ at the ends of the World. 7-23-17 (put a word in search box)

In the good old days,
when dauntless sailors knew
the earth was flat,
on the tattered edges of explorers maps
was frightened writ:

“There be dragons here!”

But now we know our planet’s round.
There be no fringe on earth or sea or sky.

Yet Gaia lives in fear.
She posts Her home
with warning signs.
The cautious line?

“There be humans here!”
