743 So little left 2-2-18

Using
the kitchen faucet
running full blast
with hot water
and a dollop of Dove
to wash a single cereal bowl
clean of remaining milk and Cherrios
while racing off to rid the bladder
of a psychosomatically induced need to pee
is akin
to having two wives and two divorces
before finding the
right,
last,
one.

It’s such a waste of
heart and water.

But,
often,
it’s the only way
to clean up our own mess
and find happiness.

Beware, though.
Hot water,
like time,
runs out,
so,
very,
quickly,

and
is
gone.
