822 The preachers last sermon 3-29-19

None of us is fixed
to a sure thing,
some all powerful truth
explaining everything that is,
today,
then tomorrow
fadeing from the believers memory,
replaced by another,
IDEA…
maybe,
at times,
its opposite…
at times,
its first cousin-once removed,
but we all know
one degree of difference
over time
becomes the magnetic pole
far from the first…
on another spot on the globe…

The new idea becomes
the weight on the scale
out weighing what used to be
the heavier.

Cleave not to close
to ephiany!
Invest not all you own
in the false security
of what you
THINK!
is self authenticating truth!

Vatican marble crumbles
before the thin clapboard of the
Sure Church of Free Will Pentacostal Babtist
on the corner of
First and Main,
THE ONLY CORNER!
in Oakville, Alabama!

Our nations new born Global Spirit bows…
again!
to the siren call of “The State”!!
And the Night Riders
iron out their sheets!

The Rock on which so many stand
is, in truth,
but a porus mesh of atoms
with light years distance between
each proton.

If all the truly solid
in the universe
might one day compress
it could rest on a pin-head
filled with angels
with more than enough room left
to play a galatic football game
through to it’s last second
Hail-Mary!

I
strive to become a spectator
in that microscopic stadium.
Join me,
if you can find a seat!
and hope that eidifce can
hold our weight…

For,
truely,
that is all we have-
Hope,
and maybe,
Prayer…
if the Father ever slows down
and bends His ear to listen….

All we have!
Until,
at last,
our final friend
appears
to take us-

someplace-

else.

Can I get an AMEN?

And for the first time
in decades,
the congregation
was silent.
